You have downloded the WSH Tutorial from my WSH Bazaar at www.borncity.de.

The archives WSHBook1.zip and WSHBook2.zip contains some tutorials about WSH Scripting in Adobe Acrobat PDF.

The table of content and some material may be extracted without a password. But most of the material is password protected - so please contact me to retrieve those passwords.

Why is the material password protected? Well, odd things has happened to me. In early 1999 I tried to publish an English version of my "Inside Windows Script Host" book, already published by Microsoft Press Germany). First I had a contract with a Publisher in Great Britain. After I send the manuscript over, they distributed it to many "technical reviewers". Whilst my editors begun preparing the manuscript to become "camera copy ready", their management decided to do this project with "another author". Later on, after they cancelled my contract, I recognized (I found some secret annotation notes in the Word files I received from my editors), that this author was one of the "technical reviewers" of my book...

Fortunately Microsoft Press USA decided to publish the material as "Microsoft Windows Script Host 2.0 Developer's Guide". But again some odd things happened again. First their editors requested me to wrote a 1000 pages manuscript covering all things I also discussed in my German "Inside Windows Script Host" edition (published by MS Press Germany). After delivering the manuscript, many editors are leaving MS Press at that time. My new editors recognized that internal MS Press rules allows only to publish 600 pages books - so they forced me to split and rewrite the material for to volumes - the "Developer's Guide" and an "Advanced" title. After I finished the Developer's guide, some internal discussions at MS Press USA about a "need for a WSH 2nd title" went on - and at least their marketing decided, "there is no room for a 2nd WSH title, even, if the development goes toward .NET".

At least I wasted a lot of time (money) for that WSH book project. Finally I decided to focussing me on my German editon of the book, which consist of 840 pages and which is rather successful. We have had published since that days the 3rd revised edition covering WSH 5.6.

For my readers of the English MS Press "Microsoft Windows Script Host 2.0 Developer's Guide"-Title, who are interested in the canceled "Advanced development with WSH 2.0" I prepared the manuscript as Adobe Acrobat PDF files. You will find the material within the two zip-Archives. To keep contol who is using the material (and to prevent, that third parties will use it for competing books), you need to contact me by e-mail (gborn@borncity.de) and ask for the passwords.

If the material is helpful, a small donation will be welcome too.

Sorry for that hassele - hope that work for you.
